HIGH-DENSITY COMPACT STORAGE SYSTEM
The SHUTTLE system is an ideal solution for warehouses with a large number of pallets arranged according to product, and which require high productivity in loading and unloading operations.
It is also used to consolidate pallets that will be shipped together.
This system is made up of two basic elements:
Shelf structure:
The design of the shelf is customised for each application based on:
- The dimensions and weight of the pallet
- Design in accordance with international standards (including seismic)
- The design of the rail is based on calculations to counter fatigue in the long-term.
- The space required to place the pallet in such a way that the operation can be carried out in an agile manner.
The motorised Shuttle carriage:
- The carriage is suspended on eight wheels designed to reduce the pressure applied by each wheel on the rail.
- Brushes in front of the wheels to clean the rails.
- Elevation of the wheels using eccentric support.
- The front and rear of the carriage have optimal protection in the form of a robust structure made from stainless steel with a plastic coating.
- Sensor-controlled movements.
- Front and rear safety bar.
- Emergency stop.
- Pallets are handled by remote control from the automatic Shuttle carriage.
Unlike the conventional drive-in system, the Shuttle system allows different products to be grouped together according to channel, rather than complete aisles, offering greater diversification and storage cost savings.
The Shuttle system reduces the time required to access material, loading and unloading processes are faster and more efficient, and the operator does not need to enter the aisles, as is the case with the drive-in system. As a result, there is a significant reduction in the human resources and forklifts required to perform the same tasks.
LIFO and FIFO system with access to both ends of channels.
Given that forklifts do not have to enter the aisles, the risk of accidents is virtually non-existent and there is no damage to the structure of the shelves.
